The style of yoga we teach at Yoga Quest is Iyengar style of yoga which is unique for its accessibility to everyone, its focus on the needs of individual students and its therapeutic benefits.
Iyengar style yoga is appropriate for everyone Props (cushions, belts, blocks, walls, etc.) are used to modify yoga postures for each individual. Regardless of your current level of strength, flexibility or endurance, you can start where you are and move toward more balance in your body, mind and spirit!
This is your quest The focus of the classes will be to teach yoga asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques) with appropriate sequencing so that you can continue your exploration of the power of yoga independently.
Each class will be a new adventure! Classes at Yoga Quest will vary each week. Some weeks we will focus on overall flexibility and strength while other weeks we will focus on particular body parts (e.g. shoulders, back, hips, etc.), a particular theme (e.g. relaxation and renewal, sun salutations, etc.) or a particular category of asana (e.g. standing asanas, forward bends, backbends, twists, etc.) |
